About this area |
|
|
The area is diverse; Tortosa
is a small medieval city on the Ebro River, in the Lower Ebro Valley. Tortosa is the capital of
Baix Ebre. Ideally
situated for the coast and Delta,
mountains and river. The
areas on either side of the river are fertile orange groves;
the delta
produces rice and is a bird sanctuary of note. The Ebro River is famed for its catfish and carp attracting
fishermen from all over the world. The mountain range of
Els Ports
is a Nature Reserve.
The surrounding areas of Tortosa are breath-takingly beautiful. If you have not visited this area of
Spain yet, its
greenness, its climate, but most of all the
Catalonian people will
surprise you. The way of life is still very traditional with the local culture preserved. A comment often made by
our Clients is how friendly and helpful the local people are.
